Ipswich Town man may live to regret summer transfer stance – he could have starred at Birmingham City

Birmingham City targeted Ipswich Town attacking midfielder Anis Mehmeti during the summer transfer window under manager Chris Davies. Despite interest from Birmingham City and other Championship sides, Mehmeti chose to remain with Ipswich Town to compete for his place in the Premier League.

Mehmeti helped Ipswich Town earn promotion after arriving from Bristol City in January, but he has since fallen down the pecking order under Gary O'Neil. Although he scored against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, the 25-year-old has yet to make a Premier League matchday squad this season.
