QPR striker Richard Kone hobbled off with a worrying knee injury in a development squad outing earlier this week.

Queens Park Rangers fear striker Richard Kone has suffered a significant knee injury following a development squad match against Bolton Wanderers youngsters on Monday. Kone was forced off in the first half holding his knee after a heavy tackle. While initial tests have reportedly ruled out anterior cruciate ligament damage, QPR officials anticipate receiving a clearer verdict on the full extent of the injury following further assessments.
Manager Julien Stephan had included Kone in the development fixture to rebuild fitness and sharpness following his recent absence from three Championship matchday squads. If Kone faces a lengthy absence, opportunities in Stephan's first-team squad could open up for younger forwards such as Leon Scarlett, Justin Obikwu, and Rayan Kolli.
