Chargers’ nightmare start is more than just a stumbling block for Mike McDaniel

The Los Angeles Chargers have started their season with an 0-2 record under new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. Los Angeles became the first team in NFL history to start 0-2 against teams that recorded 14 or more losses in the previous campaign, having dropped consecutive contests against the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders.

McDaniel joined the Chargers following his tenure with the Miami Dolphins, tasked with utilizing an outside-zone run scheme and West Coast offense to elevate quarterback Justin Herbert. However, the offense has struggled with botched snaps, route miscues, and ball security ahead of a Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills.
