His recovery timeline is expected to be four to six months according to The Athletic. Head coach John Harbaugh stated that Dart is ruled out at least for the remainder of the regular season, with Jameis Winston stepping in as the starting replacement.

The scheduled procedure will involve a full repair of Dart's torn meniscus alongside repairs to his medial collateral ligament. Dart also sustained minor damage to his posterior cruciate ligament, but he avoided a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Clint Soppe noted that a six-month rehab period remains the more probable outcome.
