New York Mets slugger Juan Soto has called on the front office to make significant roster additions following the team's elimination from postseason contention. Sitting at the bottom of the NL East with a 73-86 record, the Mets are set to miss the playoffs for a second consecutive year despite Soto's 15-year, $765 million contract.

Soto, who holds an opt-out clause after 2029, missed time due to two calf injuries in 2026 but posted a .915 OPS across 108 games. Fellow additions, including Bo Bichette and Jorge Polanco, struggled with slumps and injuries following the departures of Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, and Jeff McNeil.
