UFC Vegas 121 star shaves his head to make weight after failing on first attempt

Bantamweight fighter John Castaneda shaved his head to successfully make weight ahead of his bout against Alateng Heili at UFC Vegas 121. On his initial attempt at Friday's official weigh-ins, the 34-year-old stepped onto the scale and missed the bantamweight limit by 0.5 pounds.

Roughly 20 minutes later, Castaneda returned with a completely shaved head and hit the mark at 136 pounds. The fight remains scheduled on the card alongside the main event between Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos at the UFC Apex.
