Cheesewire murder victim’s family joins forces with Aberdeen FC in fight for justice

The family of murder victim George Murdoch has partnered with Aberdeen FC to raise awareness for his unsolved 1983 cold case. Aberdeen FC will feature a story on Murdoch's murder in their Red Matchday match programme for their Scottish Premiership fixture against St Johnstone on Sunday, October 11.

Murdoch was fatally attacked after picking up a taxi fare in Aberdeen in September 1983, and a cheesewire was discovered near the crime scene. The matchday feature highlights the ongoing Police Scotland investigation, an appeal for public tips, and a £50,000 reward for information.
