Liverpool confirm new injury worry as Alexander Isak forced to miss next three games

Alexander Isak has withdrawn from the Sweden national squad after sustaining a minor injury, Liverpool confirmed. The striker scored the opening goal in the 20th minute and completed the full 90 minutes of Sweden's Nations League win over Romania on Friday before picking up the problem. He will now miss Sweden's upcoming fixtures against Poland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Romania.

Isak will return to Liverpool to be evaluated by medical staff at the AXA Training Centre ahead of their Premier League return against Manchester City on October 11. Prior to the injury, Sweden manager Graham Potter indicated that Isak was in strong form and considered potentially starting him in all four international window fixtures.
