Ste Wallwork revealed his medical diagnosis following a doctor-stoppage defeat against Leigh Cahoon at BKFC 94 at the AO Arena in Manchester. Wallwork's promotional debut ended after two rounds when a ringside physician intervened due to significant swelling and cuts on his face. The bout took place on the undercard of Darren Till's victory over Yoel Romero.
In a statement shared to Facebook on Sunday, the 40-year-old explained that he suffered a ruptured vessel in his jaw which caused the extreme swelling. Wallwork stated that while he wanted to continue fighting, he accepted the doctor's stoppage, congratulated Cahoon, and plans to return after a few days of rest.
