Rassie Erasmus took full responsibility for the Springboks’ 42-38 defeat to the Wallabies in Perth on Sunday, admitting they simply did not play well enough.

South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus stated the Springboks had only themselves to blame following their 42-38 defeat against the Wallabies in Perth on Sunday. South Africa trailed 24-17 at halftime and fell behind 42-17 after 63 minutes before staging a late fightback that fell four points short.
Erasmus dismissed technical issues during the match, such as stadium clock and referee communication problems, as reasons for the loss. He also acknowledged that lineup changes played a role but praised Australia's improvement under coach Les Kiss ahead of next year's World Cup.
