Full squads: How each club’s list is shaping up for BBL|16

Big Bash League clubs have begun shaping their rosters for BBL|16 following the lifting of a league-wide contracting embargo. The overseas player draft has been scrapped in favor of an open-market system, allowing teams to directly sign up to three international players to their 18-man lists. In early movements, Sydney Sixers signed free agents Ollie Davies and Fergus O'Neill, while Adelaide Strikers secured England international Ben Stokes and New Zealander Mark Chapman.

Under new roster rules, franchises are no longer mandated to sign a minimum number of overseas cricketers. Sydney Thunder wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings remains the only overseas player previously under contract heading into the BBL|16 campaign, as all other international stars must negotiate direct deals under the updated contracting framework.
