8 Scotland internationals still available as free agents – including Rangers, Hearts and Dundee United men

Several former Scotland international footballers remain available on free transfers two months into the current season. As new national team head coach Sebastien Pocognoli introduces fresh faces to the squad, experienced players who previously represented Scotland are currently unattached and searching for new clubs.

Among the available free agents is 36-year-old forward Johnny Russell, who departed Dundee United after a short-term contract expired at the end of last season. Other listed free agents include 35-year-old winger Matty Phillips, released by Stevenage, 33-year-old goalkeeper Jordan Archer, let go by Portsmouth, and 37-year-old midfielder Kevin McDonald following his release from Exeter City.
