Bayern Munich linked with a move for England star

Bayern Munich are reportedly exploring a permanent move for Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as they prepare for life after Manuel Neuer. With Neuer hinting at retirement at the end of the season under manager Vincent Kompany, the Bavarian club has been laying the groundwork to target the Premier League star.

While club chiefs back young goalkeeper Jonas Urbig as the long-term successor to Neuer, veteran reserve Sven Ulreich is also expected to retire. Alongside Pickford, Bayern have reportedly placed Brighton shot-stopper Bart Verbruggen on their shortlist as they seek an experienced goalkeeper.
