Questions have been raised over Erling Haaland's long-term future at Manchester City if the club's likely appeal goes against them over Premier League finanical rule breaches
Erling Haaland shared a nine-word message on Instagram following Norway's 2-1 defeat to Portugal, posting, "We stick together. Thank you for these two nights, Ullevaal." The striker had been pulled from media duties by Norway manager Stale Solbakken to stay focused amid Manchester City being found guilty of Premier League financial rule breaches from 2009 to 2018.
Manchester City are expected to appeal the verdict while awaiting punishment. Amid speculation over Haaland's long-term future, reports from Spanish outlet Sport indicate Real Madrid will not pursue the forward due to contract terms and tactical fit, though a move to Barcelona remains a potential possibility.
