Roberto Mancini allegedly had dual contracts to facilitate Manchester City paying the manager more than was officially reported during his time at Etihad Stadium

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has addressed the Premier League financial charges against his former club, stating that the situation is not an issue that concerns him. Some of the charges relate to allegations of dual contracts used between 2009 and 2018 to compensate managers and players beyond officially reported figures, including claims involving Mancini and partner club Al Jazira.
Mancini previously stated in March 2023 that he had paid his taxes and expected no contact regarding the matter. After coaching stints with Saudi Arabia and Al-Sadd, Mancini is currently in his second spell as head coach of the Italy national team.
