John Wenham labels Tottenham’s decision to sell striker Will Lankshear an utter disaster.
Tottenham Hotspur sold 21-year-old striker Will Lankshear to Championship side Middlesbrough in a deal worth up to £20 million, including an initial £10 million fee. Lankshear has since scored eight goals in eleven appearances for Middlesbrough, while Tottenham sits in 20th place in the Premier League table under head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Spurs expert John Wenham criticized the transfer, labeling the decision to let the forward leave as a potential disaster amid Tottenham's ongoing attacking struggles and the exclusion of Richarlison from the squad. Lankshear had previously scored one goal in six senior matches for Spurs.
