Tottenham-linked Besiktas defender Emirhan Topcu has emerged on the radar of Hull City…

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly face competition from Premier League side Hull City and French club OGC Nice to sign Besiktas centre-back Emirhan Topcu. The 26-year-old Turkey international, who joined Besiktas on a four-year contract in 2024, has impressed this season with one goal in seven Super Lig appearances. Besiktas manager Vincenzo Italiano is reluctant to lose him midway through the campaign unless a substantial offer is submitted.
Writer Rohan Sengupta argues that Tottenham should avoid signing Topcu and focus instead on acquiring a striker in January. Following summer additions Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, and Tosin Adarabioyo alongside Micky van de Ven, Sengupta believes Roberto De Zerbi's defensive options are sufficiently stocked.
