“Good To Have Him On The Ice:” Red Wings Welcome Dylan Larkin’s Presence In Practice

Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin has returned to practice with his teammates following an off-ice training injury sustained prior to training camp. Larkin missed all four preseason games, and his status remains undecided for Detroit's regular season opener on October 2. Head coach Todd McLellan noted that Larkin's availability will depend on feedback from an upcoming medical evaluation.

Larkin remains with the Red Wings despite a public trade request made in June and relinquishing his role as team captain. Meanwhile, defenseman Simon Edvinsson has participated in non-scrimmage drills but cannot play without a contract as a restricted free agent.
