The Detroit Lions released 26-year-old cornerback Natrone Brooks from their practice squad on Monday and signed undrafted rookie tight end Miles Kitselman to fill the vacancy. The roster moves followed Detroit's 31-24 home victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. Brooks originally joined Detroit's practice squad on Sept. 10 after spending his first three professional seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.
Kitselman previously spent time with Detroit earlier in the year before reaching an injury settlement. The moves occurred amid several injuries in Detroit's secondary, including Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph on the PUP list, alongside Avonte Maddox facing season-ending foot surgery.
