Sunderland’s Chris Rigg responds to lack of game-time in early weeks of season

Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg has expressed patience regarding his limited playing time this season, stating he will not complain about his current role. The 19-year-old has not yet started a Premier League match this campaign, logging only 17 top-flight minutes before the international break. His only start so far came during a Carabao Cup third-round victory over Hull City, alongside a late substitute appearance against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League.

Rigg noted that he intends to draw from his experiences last season, when he overcame extended periods without playing time to finish the campaign with multiple starts. Despite increased squad competition following new additions, Rigg remains focused on training and learning from the club's experienced players until his next opportunity arrives.
