Jordan James: Wrexham move ‘sailed’ last summer

Wales international midfielder Jordan James stated that any chance of joining Phil Parkinson's Wrexham ended in the summer of 2025. The 22-year-old recently signed for Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal with an option to buy from French Ligue 1 side Rennes, turning down potential Premier League moves.

James had previously been linked with Wrexham prior to spending the 2025-26 season on loan at Leicester City, where he won the Championship Young Player of the Season award. Speaking to the BBC, James explained that the opportunity to move to Wrexham had passed following that successful spell.
