Former Wrexham pair could get Robbie Savage as new manager

Forest Green manager Robbie Savage has been granted permission to speak with another club, reported to be League One side Peterborough United. Savage will miss Forest Green's home National League fixture against Wealdstone while discussions take place, with goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould confirming his absence alongside staff members Jan Klukowski and Josh Bowen.

Peterborough sacked manager Luke Williams earlier in the month following a difficult run that left the team second from bottom in League One with one win in eight matches. A potential appointment would see Savage manage former Wrexham players Tom O'Connor and Harry Ashfield, both of whom currently play for Peterborough.
