O’Brien reportedly confronted Manor Solomon over Gaza after Ireland win

Everton defender Jake O'Brien reportedly confronted Israel captain Manor Solomon following the Republic of Ireland's 3-0 Nations League victory on Sunday. According to Israeli outlet Sport5, O'Brien shouted at Solomon from the dressing-room area regarding the conflict in Gaza, prompting an angry response from the West Ham winger. The exchange has not been independently verified, and neither O'Brien nor the Football Association of Ireland has commented publicly.

The match was surrounded by political tension, with Ireland players declining pre-match handshakes and wearing black armbands. Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu withdrew from the squad prior to the fixture in protest. O'Brien played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win, with goals scored by Troy Parrott, Adam Idah, and Jack Moylan.
