Jose Altuve is one of the best players of this generation, and when he takes the field against the Chicago White Sox in the Wild Card Series on Tuesday, he will be playing in his 106th career postseason game.
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will appear in his 106th career postseason game on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox in the Wild Card Series. By playing in the matchup, Altuve ranks sixth all-time in career postseason appearances and will have played in more postseason games than the entire New York Mets franchise in its history.
Altuve joins Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, David Justice, and Manny Ramirez as players who have surpassed the Mets' all-time postseason game total. The Mets, who rank 13th all-time in postseason games played, missed the playoffs for a second consecutive season.
