Impact of the Kings’ Pinelli & Chromiak Clearing Waivers

Los Angeles Kings prospects Martin Chromiak and Francesco Pinelli, along with Cole Guttman, Lane Pederson, and Joe Hicketts, were placed on waivers on September 24 for assignment to the Ontario Reign of the AHL. Both Chromiak and Pinelli cleared waivers as the Kings trimmed their roster to 23 players ahead of their October 6 regular-season opener against the Florida Panthers.

The roster moves allow the Kings to finalize their opening-night lineup while retaining the players' rights in the American Hockey League. Chromiak, who signed a one-year, two-way contract extension in June, is coming off a season where he led the Ontario Reign with 28 goals and 56 points in 71 games.
