Celtic midfielder Mika Baur could make his international debut for Germany after being named in manager Jürgen Klopp's 25-man squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Serbia and Greece. Speaking to media on Tuesday, the 22-year-old expressed his ambition to earn playing time and admitted that his first senior international call-up came as a surprise.
Baur, who joined Scottish club Celtic from Paderborn last summer, stated he brings high work rate, physical tackling, and an ability to impact games with and without the ball. He also discussed his sporting family background as the son of German handball legend Markus Baur.
