Birmingham City make change to 25-man Championship squad after Kanya Fujimoto exit

Birmingham City has added winger Scott Wright to their 25-man Championship squad following the departure of Kanya Fujimoto. Wright was initially excluded from manager Chris Davies' submitted squad due to a surplus of senior players and an unsuccessful search for a September loan move. With special dispensation from the EFL, the club reallocated Fujimoto's vacant place to Wright.

Fujimoto returned to Japan to join Tokyo Verdy on a season-long move, opening up the squad registration spot. Despite his inclusion, Wright faces competition on the wings from Carlos Vicente, Patrick Roberts, Liam Millar, and Demarai Gray ahead of his contract expiry next summer.
