JENNY SUGARMAN praised her side’s character after coming through a ‘chaotic’ game at Briton Ferry with flying colours.
Wrexham AFC Women head coach Jenny Sugarman praised her squad's resilience and character following an 8-1 victory against Briton Ferry. Sugarman highlighted her team's ability to maintain discipline and stick to the game plan during what she described as a chaotic and physical match. The commanding result extended Wrexham's perfect record to four straight wins in their Adran Premier title defense.
Katie Barker and Natasha Thomas each scored hat-tricks, with Maria Francis-Jones and Lili Jones adding the other goals to secure the win. Wrexham led 4-1 at halftime before closing out the contest. The victory keeps the Reds in first place on goal difference ahead of The New Saints, whom they will face in an upcoming top-of-the-table clash.
