The Baltimore Orioles announced renovations to Oriole Park at Camden Yards ahead of the 2027 season, removing approximately 2,000 seats from the left-field upper deck. Construction is set to begin immediately to build a new social space featuring drink rails, standing viewing areas, a central bar, concessions, tables, and televisions. The area will open on Opening Day 2027 to all ticketed fans and will also be available for private events on non-game days.
The renovated space covers sections 382 to 388, which were frequently closed off during recent seasons. Following the seat removal, Camden Yards' estimated seating capacity will adjust to 40,234. Orioles president of business operations Catie Griggs and Maryland Stadium Authority executive director Lindsey Parker emphasized that the project responds to fan feedback for vibrant gathering spaces, with additional ballpark upgrades expected to be announced later this year.
