The Calgary Flames are a smaller market team compared to other Canadian NHL teams, but their latest valuation proves they're still among the NHL's overall best.

The Calgary Flames have seen their franchise valuation rise significantly ahead of the 2026/27 NHL season, according to valuations released by Sportico. The team has climbed to 14th overall among NHL franchises with an estimated value of $2.24 billion, improving from a 19th-place ranking in 2025.
The increase in valuation comes as the Flames enter their final season playing at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The growth is largely attributed to the upcoming move to their new arena, ScotiaPlace, scheduled to open ahead of the 2027/28 season under General Manager Craig Conroy's long-term rebuild.
