DALLAS — Cooper Flagg’s blocks should go up in his second season, Mavericks coach Dusty May said Monday on the third day of Dallas Mavericks training camp.
Dallas Mavericks head coach Dusty May predicted that Cooper Flagg's blocked shots will increase significantly in his second NBA season. Flagg, the reigning Rookie of the Year, averaged 0.9 blocks and 1.2 steals per game last season. May highlighted Flagg's quick jumping, anticipation skills, and strong work ethic during the third day of Dallas Mavericks training camp.
Meanwhile, rookie big man Morez Johnson Jr. is nearing a return from limited practice time alongside injured frontcourt players Santi Aldama and Dereck Lively II. Rookie guard Sergio de Larrea is also making adjustments to NBA play under assistant coach Willie Green ahead of the preseason opener against the Houston Rockets on October 9 in Macao.
