Former Major League Baseball utilityman Tyler Wade has announced his retirement from professional baseball at age 31. Wade shared the decision on social media on Monday, just a day after the regular season ended, expressing gratitude for his nine-year big-league career. He thanked several former teams, including the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels, and Oakland Athletics.

Wade appeared in 506 MLB games over nine seasons, hitting seven career home runs. He spent the 2026 season attempting to make the roster for the Texas Rangers after last playing in the majors for the Padres in 2025.
