ODI tri-series in Pakistan set to be scrapped with Zimbabwe unable to travel

A planned triangular ODI series in Pakistan scheduled for early 2027 is set to be scrapped after Zimbabwe became unable to participate due to commercial reasons. Pakistan and Zimbabwe are reportedly working to arrange an alternate window. Meanwhile, Ireland, who were the third team scheduled to take part, are still expected to tour Pakistan for a scaled-down bilateral white-ball series.

A potential home Test match between Pakistan and Ireland has also grown increasingly unlikely due to shifting priorities. The revised schedule comes during an ODI World Cup year, with Pakistan actively scheduling 50-over matches and Ireland preparing for their World Cup qualifiers scheduled for February.
