Getting better at the "small details" in matches contributed to Stoke City's upturn in results before the international break, says defender Ben Johnson.

Stoke City defender Ben Johnson stated that refining small details in matches contributed to the team's strong upturn in Championship form before the international break. After suffering three consecutive defeats to begin the season, the Potters rebounded by earning 13 points from an available 15 to climb to seventh in the standings, highlighted by a comeback victory against Sheffield United on September 19.
Johnson, who joined on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town on August 21, also highlighted the impact of fellow late-window signings Jack McGlynn and Luca Bombino. The defender praised their quick adaptation from Major League Soccer and noted the strong bond they established while initially staying in the same hotel.
