West Ham United‘s Niclas Füllkrug has enjoyed a good start to the season at Werder Bremen, after the Championship side let him join them on loan in the summer window. The Hammers reportedly paid around €30m to sign the striker…

Niclas Fullkrug has opened up about his difficult spell at West Ham United, stating in an interview with SportBild that England simply was not the right fit for him as a player or athlete. The 33-year-old Germany international striker has made an impressive start on loan at Werder Bremen, scoring four goals in his first five matches.
Fullkrug joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in 2024 for around €30m but struggled heavily with injuries and form, managing just three goals in 29 total appearances for the Hammers. Following an unsuccessful loan spell at AC Milan, West Ham, now managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, sanctioned his loan move to Bremen in August.
