Jayson Tatum looked up to Paul George growing up

During Boston Celtics Media Day, Jayson Tatum shared how much he emulated new teammate Paul George while growing up. George, acquired by the Celtics in July alongside free-agent signing Mike Conley Jr., welcomed the opportunity to mentor Tatum and the rest of the roster entering his 17th NBA season.

Several young Celtics players have leaned on the veteran additions during offseason workouts. Jordan Walsh trained directly with George, while guard Payton Pritchard connected with Conley, who is entering his 20th NBA campaign aiming to pursue a championship with Boston.
