The Washington Capitals announced they will wear their red Screaming Eagle third jerseys for 10 home games during the 2026-27 season. The alternate sweaters will make their season debut on October 9 at Capital One Arena against the New York Rangers.
The 10 appearances mark five fewer games than the previous season, during which the Capitals posted an 8-4-3 record in the sweaters. The reduction is likely due to the upcoming release of the team's "Hometown Remix" special-edition jersey.
