After a long wait, the NBA is finally back. Fans are looking forward to returning players, upcoming debuts, and players back from injury.

Multiple notable NBA players are preparing to return for the 2026-27 season after injury-shortened campaigns in 2025-26. Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey and new Los Angeles Lakers acquisition Walker Kessler have both been cleared for basketball activities following ankle and shoulder surgeries. Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis, and Trae Young also confirmed they are fully healthy after undergoing surgical procedures or rehabilitation last season.
Several stars also enter the season with new teams following offseason moves and health setbacks. Ja Morant is set for his debut with the Portland Trail Blazers after an elbow injury, while Anthony Davis is healthy for the Washington Wizards following hand issues. Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler continues his recovery from a torn ACL with a targeted return in early 2027.
