Chris Webber is back around Kings, helping at training camp

Sacramento Kings legend Chris Webber attended the team's opening training-camp practice at the invitation of general manager Scott Perry. During the session, Webber addressed the players during their closing huddle. Head coach Doug Christie welcomed his former teammate's presence, noting that Webber brings positive energy as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

Christie has frequently cited the early-2000s Kings teams as an inspiration for the style of play he envisions for current center Domantas Sabonis and the roster. While Webber has not joined the coaching staff officially, his appearance provided connections for players like rookie Darius Acuff Jr. and forward Keegan Murray.
