San Jose Sharks prospect Reese Laubach has been named one of Penn State University's two captains for the 2026-27 NCAA hockey season. Laubach will share captaincy duties with fellow senior Dane Dowiak as the Nittany Lions prepare to open their upcoming campaign on October 9 against the University of Connecticut.
A San Jose native, Laubach was selected 217th overall by the Sharks in the 2022 NHL Draft. He enters a crucial senior collegiate season, having posted 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points in 37 games last season ahead of his NHL draft rights expiring next summer.
