Nick Pope is expected to remain on Tyneside and see out his Newcastle United contract as he targets free agency ahead of next summer

Goalkeeper Nick Pope is reportedly expected to see out his Newcastle United contract and pursue a departure as a free agent next summer. According to Football Insider, the chances of Pope leaving during the January transfer window are diminishing as he aims to keep his options open ahead of free agency.
Pope has not played a single minute this season under new manager Matthias Jaissle, following the arrival of new starting goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek. Although Newcastle United might prefer selling the veteran in January for a transfer fee, Pope reportedly remains committed to staying at the club for the remainder of the season.
