Pakistan qualified for the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket final by defeating Bangladesh by six wickets in a rain-reduced semi-final on October 1. Chasing a target of 112 in 13 overs at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Pakistan reached 112/4 in 11.3 overs. The team will face the winner of India versus Sri Lanka in the final, while Bangladesh heads to the bronze-medal match.
After Pakistan opted to bowl, Bangladesh posted 111/7, anchored by Towhid Hridoy's 42 off 25 balls, while Sufyan Moqim claimed 3/26. Pakistan slipped to 53/4 during the chase, but an unbroken 59-run partnership between Abdul Samad (30 not out) and Hasan Nawaz (27 not out) guided them to victory.
