Pakistan will face Bangladesh in the first semi-final of the men's cricket tournament at the Asian Games 2026 on Thursday, October 1, at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. Both teams advanced to the semi-finals based on their higher tournament seedings after rain washed out all four quarter-final matches. Pakistan is fielding a second-string squad captained by Sahibzada Farhan, while Bangladesh enters the contest with a near full-strength side led by Litton Das.
The Korogi Sports Park pitch has favored spinners throughout the tournament, with low average scores and testing batting conditions. Weather forecasts show an improved outlook with only a minimal chance of rain. If weather forces another abandonment, Pakistan would advance to the gold-medal match due to their higher tournament seeding. For Bangladesh, Mohammed Saifuddin has been ruled out of the tournament and was not replaced.
