Toyota advisor Alexander Wurz has rejected rumors linking Esteban Ocon to a World Endurance Championship seat with the manufacturer for 2027. Following confirmation that Haas will part ways with the 30-year-old French driver after 2026, speculation emerged linking Ocon to sports car racing alongside remaining Formula 1 possibilities such as Cadillac.
Wurz stated that Toyota has no plans to alter its current six-driver Hypercar roster, emphasizing the need to preserve established team chemistry and long-term contracts. Toyota's current lineup features Mike Conway, Nyck de Vries, Kamui Kobayashi, Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa across its two entries.
