Jalen Johnson’s Warning Sends Strong Message: “Pick Your Poison”

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson issued a warning to opposing offenses during media day, saying "pick your poison" when asked about sharing the floor with the team's defensive core. Following an offseason led by president of basketball operations Onsi Saleh, the Hawks reinforced their perimeter defense around Dyson Daniels by acquiring Luguentz Dort and adding Nickeil Alexander-Walker.

Garrett Brown of Last Word On Sports highlights that the defensive trio alongside Johnson provides head coach Quin Snyder with elite versatility, switchability, and transition scoring opportunities. Brown argues that this defense-first identity gives Atlanta a strong foundation to control games and consistently challenge top opposing scorers throughout the upcoming NBA season.
