The Athletics are parting ways with hitting coach Chris Cron and quality control coach Marcus Jensen, according to MLB.com's Martin Gallegos. The club has begun searching for replacements for both coaching roles following a difficult offensive season.
Cron joined the Athletics organization in 2022, while Jensen has been with the franchise for two decades across various minor and major league roles. Oakland's offense finished 20th in scoring in 2026 amid significant injuries to key hitters including Brent Rooker, Nick Kurtz, Tyler Soderstrom, Shea Langeliers, and Jacob Wilson.
