The Anaheim Ducks have finalized a six-year, $43.2 million contract extension with 22-year-old defenseman Tristan Luneau. Reported by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on October 1, the deal carries an average annual value of $7.2 million. The extension comes while Luneau still has one year remaining on his entry-level contract.
The contract runs from the 2027-28 season through 2032-33 and includes a $3 million signing bonus in year one alongside a 10-team no-trade list in the final two seasons. It is believed to be the largest deal in NHL history for a player with just 14 career games.
