William Zepeda sums up Shakur Stevenson’s punching power as he targets rematch

William Zepeda has assessed Shakur Stevenson's punching power while targeting a rematch following their initial encounter. Stevenson defeated Zepeda via unanimous decision at Louis Armstrong Stadium to defend his WBC lightweight belt before moving up to capture the WBO super-lightweight title. Zepeda subsequently claimed the vacant WBC lightweight title by defeating Lamont Roach Jr.

Speaking to Luis Parra, Zepeda stated that Stevenson did not possess hard punch power, but praised his accuracy and ability to exploit defensive openings. While Zepeda eyes a second fight, he is also linked to Abdullah Mason, whereas Stevenson has signed with Zuffa Boxing and could face Gary Antuane Russell.
