'The fullback has to be a very versatile player. That's what Connor is," Head Coach Klint Kubiak said.

Fullback Connor Heyward has taken on a versatile role in the Las Vegas Raiders' offense, contributing as a blocker, receiver, and short-yardage rusher. Heyward notably set up a touchdown pass to running back Ashton Jeanty in Week 1 with a key chip block and has executed short-yardage runs in "tush push" packages to protect veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak emphasized the importance of the fullback position, highlighting Heyward's ability to protect, assist the running game, and play special teams. Heyward noted that despite some recent struggles in the ground game, the team is focused on improving its execution heading into their Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
