Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal announced his retirement from first-class and red-ball cricket on Friday, October 2. The Haryana cricketer confirmed his decision via his official Instagram account, stating that his final first-class match was played at Lord's in London while representing Northamptonshire in County cricket.
Despite stepping away from the red-ball format with 148 wickets in 49 first-class matches, Chahal confirmed he is not retiring from international cricket or the IPL. He remains committed to white-ball formats, stating his intention to push for a national team recall in One-Day and T20 cricket.
